Here's a video Nat put together for everyone. Now that I am leaving the Provo hospital, I want to thank a few people in particular that will really stick me for the rest of my life. -Dr. Howard Reichman-Neurosurgeon, he did both my neck and spine surgery. Hopefully you never need to worry about that but if you do and he's your doctor, consider yourself blessed to be able to be in his hands. -Brandon & Nissa- Physical Therapists, you two got me sitting up for the first time and really helped me relax. They showed me some cool stuff and I know made a huge difference in the beginning of my journey here. -Philip- Respiratory Therapist (who could forget him?) Even though I thought he wanted to kill me for a minute, it's ok because I thought I wanted to kill him too. But he is a great man with some really cool party tricks. -Adam - Physicians Assistant, he's one of the calmest people I know. He successfully pulled that tube out on Thursday that gave me the go ahead to go to rehab. Oh and he HATES whoppers! Last but not least, my nurses!! -Stacey, you are seriously one of the nicest people I know. Love the head bands too! -Catlyn-day shift, aw Catlyn. She gave me my first sponge bath and really helped me feel.... Unashamed, I guess is the word. -Katlyn- night shift, even if you and my sister Dana didn't see it, I think you guys do look alike. Maybe that's why I liked you the second I saw you. -Vicky, you are such a caring person and I really appreciate you putting up with me. -Shae & Celeste, thank you for keeping me calm and making me feel safe. -Angie, she's 'goin' to the chapel and she's gonna get ma-a-arried"! Thank you for taking such good care of me, even though I know you would have much rather been doing so many other things. -Ryan, poor guy got me right after I got there so he probably got the worst of me -Alena, Even though you were technically never my "nurse", you still were there every time I needed assistance. Whether that meant holding my head in place when I needed to be turned, helping give the oh so luxurious sponge bath or just being there to talk to. I really related to you from the very beginning and I appreciate your friendship. My promises to you; I will walk again I will come see you guys again I will do cartwheels down the ICU hallway (With Angie, she promised.) I know I've probably forgotten someone, I've been on a lot of medication over the last two weeks. But please know that does not mean that I don't appreciate everything you have done for me. This hospital has been a blessing to me, everyone has been great, everyone has been respectful and everyone has helped me so much. Thank you for everything and I cannot wait to come see you all again. -Natalie Dartez Big Thanks to My Friends and FamilyI can't begin to express how much everyone's love and support has meant in my health and recovery. Sometimes you forget just how lucky you are to know the people you know and have the friends you have. Every single one of you has made such a huge impact on not only my life, but my husband's and my family's as well. Everyone's kindness has really shown me how much of a better person I can really be and I appreciate the opportunity to share my journey with you. I'll keep you posted, love you all!
